Which of these 100 books did you read?

Hmm, better than 6… and I do know the vast majority of the books. You will notice that most of the books I did read are more contemporary. My excuse is that, growing up in East Germany, we never read any of the classics which my daughter now reads in school (i.e. Shakespeare). I mean, they did teach us briefly about him, but we never had to read his work. And I think without an English teacher at hand, it is not easy to understand and I find myself not being able to handle classics. And I mean proper classics, published prior to 1900 or so. Just don't 'get' them often, and than there is so much interesting contemporary stuff to read.  

The one book I really want to read is The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood as I've heard it's dystopian which is a genre I discovered a few years ago and now love.
