First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intro is hosted by bibliophilebythesea.blogspot.co.uk.
Write down either the first paragraph of a book your are currently reading / intending to read or read in the past and share with us. I do like a good opening!
My choice today is a book I received last week Casting Shadows Everywhere by L.T. Vargus. It is a 'coming of age/ YA book. This is the opening paragraph:
Killing someone is a lot harder than you'd imagine. Physically harder, I mean. On TV a guy strangles someone for like 5 seconds and the body slumps to the ground in a heap of dead just like that. In real life, it takes so long you wouldn't believe it.
If that isn't an opening which draws you right in there, than I don't' know what is! Beautifully executed.
Teaser Tuesday is hosted by MizB at Should be reading.
These are the rules (taken directly from MizB's blog:)
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I have chosen again the same book as above Casting Shadows Everywhere by L.T. Vargu
- I gazed out at the modular homes and tried to imagine how he must see them, like rows of presents waiting under the tree.
- "There ain't no right or wrong. None of it means nothin'."
I'm now about 30% into the book. Happy reading everyone!
